A citation graph that loads reliably
The citation graph now loads quickly and reliably with its connections, and new papers are linked to the papers that cite them as soon as they're added.
The citation graph shows how the papers in PaperVantage's library cite each other. As the library grew, building it had become slow enough that the graph sometimes failed to load, or loaded without its connections. This release rebuilds how citations are stored so the graph holds up at the library's current size.
- The graph page loads reliably. It no longer depends on a large nightly rebuild finishing in time, and it shows the papers even while connections are still being worked out.
- New papers join the graph straight away. When a paper is added, any papers already in the library that cite it are linked to it immediately, instead of waiting for the next nightly pass.
- Matching citations to papers is much faster. References that only give a title are matched to papers in the library with the same care as before, in a fraction of the time.
