An AI assistant beside every paper
Members can ask an AI assistant about the paper they're reading. It can read the whole paper, search the library and explain any passage you highlight.
Every paper page now has an AI assistant alongside the paper, for members. Ask it to summarise the paper, explain a result, or suggest what to read first, and it answers while you keep reading.
- Ask about a passage. Highlight text in the paper and it's added to the assistant's message box as a quote, so you can ask about exactly that part.
- It works from the paper itself. The assistant can read the whole paper and search the PaperVantage library, so its answers draw on the text rather than on memory alone.
- A clear allowance. Membership includes an AI allowance that resets every 30 days. A meter in the assistant shows how much you've used and when it resets.
The assistant replaces the Explain and Ask buttons that used to appear on the paper page.
To answer, the paper's text, the passages you highlight and your messages are sent to an AI model provider. Your name and email are not sent. The Privacy Policy has the details.
